Yes, we are back! Back to homeschooling that is. So, public school just isn't an option for my little student. She missed being home schooled and since we've started we actually see that by her going to public school for a few months she has actually regressed and digressed in her learning. :( We are now just trying to get her back up to speed to where she was before she went to p.s. Has anyone else been through this before?
We started around Lesson 45 or so in ABeka Third Grade curriculum. This is what we had been using before she went back to school. I really had no clue where to start. I asked lots of questions about what she had learned in her class which led me to lesson 45. I do feel somewhat pressured that Lesson 45 is not even the half way point for the year but do not want to push my student to frustration just to get everything in. I have given much thought to skipping over some repetitive work that ABeka sometimes seems to have.
Regardless of the issues of getting caught up, we are all much happier with our decision to stick with home schooling.
